Thursday was Primary Day in New York, and some state legislative and judicial races were on the ballot. Though primaries tend to attract a small number of races, some of the day's races could have national implications.

In a TimesCast video, Michael Paulson, Metro's political editor, and Thomas Kaplan, Albany reporter, discuss the races on the ballot.
