A 20-year-old man was shot and killed by the police early on Friday during a robbery of a bodega in the Bronx, the authorities said. It was not clear if the man was involved in the robbery or a worker in the store.
The violence happened at around 2 a.m. at Natalie Grocery on Franklin Avenue in the Morrisania section when either two or three gunmen walked into the store as it was closing, the police said.
The man who was shot was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx where he was pronounced dead.
