Man Arrested in Abuse of Dog in Elevator

A 28-year-old man was arrested on Monday and charged with the abuse of a dog in an elevator in an East Harlem housing project, in a scene caught on security video, the police said.

The man, Brian Freeman of East 188th Street in the Bronx, is accused of torturing and injury to an animal, a misdemeanor.

On the security video, taken Aug. 26, a man can be seen kicking and slapping a small dog in the Wagner Houses on East 120th Street.
