Two workers were injured, at least one of them seriously, when a brownstone undergoing construction collapsed in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, on Monday morning, the authorities said. A roof or a third-floor ceiling fell on the workers at the house at 214 Carlton Avenue, near Willoughby Avenue, around 9:15 a.m., the authorities said. The police said that two workers appeared unlikely to survive; the Fire Department said that one worker was in cardiac arrest and the other in less serious condition. Both were taken to Brooklyn Hospital Center.
