Dear Diary:
I received a text on Halloween from my friend Coco who lives in Lower Manhattan. Because of Hurricane Sandy, she has been without power since Monday night. She was having a difficult time trying to get to me on the Upper West Side, but she managed to find a UPS Store on Eighth Avenue where she could recharge her electronics. She texted me the following:
âI was cracking up walking here. I overheard a little girl whining about not being able to trick or treat and the dad said: âCome on, it will be fun. You will stand in the hall and knock. Then I will answer and give you rotten milk. Then you knock again and Mommy will give you the stale bread!'â
