Dear Diary:
I am used to seeing people sitting in their cars until the magic time of 10:30 a.m., when parking is safe on that side of the street. But the other day in Chelsea there was a different sight.
There was a man sitting beside his car on a folding armchair, with a sun hat, comfortably a reading a paper. It was after the magic hour.
After a while he got up and put his hat and newspaper in the back seat of his car. He folded up the armchair and put it in the trunk. Then he took out a suit jacket from the front seat, put on the jacket, locked the car and walked away, keeping his parking place, of course.
