New Assignment

New national rules require schools to serve healthier student lunches, but many children just don't like them. It means more fruits and vegetables and less French fries and pizza.

All over the country, kids are rebelling. Students near Pittsburgh have gone on “lunch strike” against the cafeteria. Kids are dumping the healthy food in the garbage or even on the cafeteria floor.

“Before, there was no taste and no flavor,” said a high schooler in Brooklyn. “Now there's no taste, no flavor and it's healthy, which makes it taste even wors e.” Middle schoolers in Manhattan called vegetables “gross.”

Here is an article about the healthy school lunches. You may illustrate any part of the story you wish.
